"Anna Cappelli"

"Our Fathers"

This two characters one act play by Italian playwright Luigi Lunari explores the lives of the

mentally disabled children of two prominent 20th-century historical figures: Joseph P. Kennedy

and Palmiro Togliatti. The characters: Aldo Togliatti and Rosemary Kennedy, portrayed by John

Wojda and Mica Bagnasco, are presented as three-dimensional, dignified, and heroic despite

their disabilities.

“Our Fathers” is both a political and deeply personal theatrical exploration of the impact of

powerful fathers on their disabled children’s lives. The play uniquely combines historical

personages with a surreal, emotionally driven narrative.

Quest’opera teatrale in un atto a due personaggi, scritta dal drammaturgo italiano Luigi Lunari, esplora le vite dei figli con disabilità mentali di due importanti figure storiche del XX secolo: Joseph P. Kennedy e Palmiro Togliatti. I personaggi, Aldo Togliatti e Rosemary Kennedy, interpretati da John Wojda e Mica Bagnasco, vengono rappresentati come figure tridimensionali, dignitose ed eroiche, nonostante le loro difficoltà.

This is a one woman show about Zelda Fitzgerald wife of the legendary writer F. Scott Fitzgerald. The show was written by William Luce and it was performed at Studio 54 directed by Stephen Jobes.
